To login we use local logins instead of normal network logins because the size of the files are too big and the networks aren't powerful enough to hold it all, as it will then start to not perform well.
Its important to eject the SD card before taking it out again, you do this by right-clicking on the SD icon which will be on your desktop and the second option down says eject. By doing this you are making sure that anything which is still on the card is not lost, because not ejecting the card before taking it out risks things being removed.
It is important to create appropriate folders in the appropriate place on the Mac hard drive. This is because it is then much easier to find anything you are looking for and it also looks much neater.
When transferring footage onto the Mac it will all be in the SD card folder, then drag the footage into your movies folder when you can keep everything organised there safely.
When setting up the premiere pro project its very important to make sure you have the correct settings otherwise it won't work properly. This includes making sure the project will be saved to the correct place to begin with so make sure the location is correct.
Its good to ensure that your folders on premiere pro mirror the folders on the hard drive of the mac so everything looks the same and you won't get confused about there things have been placed. It helps to keep all your footage organised.
To create titles and other graphics you go to the bar at the top of the screen and press 'edit' where you then go to 'legacy titles'. Here you can change the font to all different styles and colors, along with where you want to place it on the screen, as well as draw shapes onto it to.
