The technique used here is the pen tool, this means the opacity can be changed of the selected shot. This can be done by clicking on the white line and dragging it either up or down to give the shot fade. So if you want a more transparent image the opacity should be lowered, then if you want a less transparent image you would make the opacity higher.

Markers indicate important points in time and help you position and arrange clips. You can use a marker to identify an important action or sound in a sequence or clip. To create a good effect you can place the markers when a beat hits and set it to change to a different piece of footage every time the music hits a certain beat. This helps to create a smoother looking music video as when the footage changes it matches the audio.
By opening the colour panel i am able to correct the tone, adjust the colour and change the appearance of the music video using, curves and other controls available. I have selected the little colour selector tool to chose the colour that i want to change and then chose the colour i want it to be, which i can then also adjust it if needs be.
Here the forward tool is being used, this means i can select whatever part of the sequence that i want to and and move it forwards, so for example if i wanted to add in an extra clip in the middle somewhere i could drag all the footage at the end further away, and also if i wanted the sequence to begin with a plain black screen so i could turn it into a fade i would move all of the sequence over to make space for it.
Here the razor tool is being used, this means by selecting a shot i can use the razor tool to cut it wherever i want if there is a part of it i do not want to then make it shorter. This makes it easier to cut the shot once it is already on the timeline instead of removing it and then cutting it using the keyboard controls and then putting it back in the sequence, which takes longer than just simply using the razor tool.
By going in the color panel you can also change the way shots look by putting filters on them to give the colors different sort of tones in an easy way, then if there is still things you want to change in more detail you can do that afterwards still.
By pressing the little blue icon that has been selected on the bottom right, a second screen opens up next to the other one, if you are starting out with an empty timeline this allows you to select whatever shots appear in the second screen to go into the music video, which can then be edited later on.
Here we have used an overlay to give the shot a cool effect this is done by. In the timeline, place a clip on a track higher where another clip is located. Select the clip in the higher track and select the effect controls panel to make it active. In the effect controls panel, click the triangle next to opacity and drag the opacity to the left to set it less than 100%. Click the triangle in the blend mode menu, and select a blend mode from the list of blend modes.
Here by opening the color panel use the eyedropper tools or pre-select pixels by hue, saturation, and luminance. Use the blur to achieve a more accurate selection and a natural look. After selecting the pixels adjust the colors as desired.
The ripple edit tool means moving an edit point and causing the rest of the timeline to move the same amount. To perform a ripple edit, select the ripple edit tool from the tool panel. Position the mouse at the edit point in the timeline and drag left or right.
Good clear work which I think just gets into the distinction range. Well done Faith.
